Do ukosowania zładu wystarczy najprostszy strug elektryczny. 

The simplest electric plane is enough for a bevel.

ŁĄCZENIE SKLEJKI.

Arkusze sklejki mają długość 2,0 - 2,40 m. Powoduje to konieczność łączenia arkuszy. Złącza na poszczególnych pasach poszycia powinny być względem siebie przesunięte. Sklejka może być łączona za pomocą klejonej i nitowanej lub przybijanej nakładki (a), przez sklejenie zukosowanych arkuszy (b). Autor wypróbował i z powodzeniem od wielu lat stosuje połączenie za pomocą laminatu epoksydowo-szklanego (c). Każda z tych metod jest dobra. Wybierzcie tą która będzie dla was najłatwiejsza. Na fotografiach sklejki będą połączone jak na rysunku a.

JOINING PLYWOOD.

The sheets of plywood have a length of 2.0 - 2.40 m. This necessitates joining the sheets. Joints on individual plating strips should be offset from each other. Plywood can be joined with glued and riveted or nailed overlay (a), by gluing beveled sheets (b). The author has tried and has been successfully using epoxy-glass laminate (c) for many years. Each of these methods is good. Choose the one that will be easiest for you. In the photos, the plywood will be connected as in figure a.

Od prawej widać wręgi A, B, C i D prim. Pomiędzy wręgami B i C widać gdzie będzie łączenie sklejki.

Build a mounting bed

Dla pokazania samego łoża posłużę się zdjęciami z budowy Setki. Łoże nie musi być piękne. Można użyć starych desek. Na złożonych razem deskach zaznaczamy odstępy między wręgami. 

To show the bed itself I will use photos from the construction of Setka. The bed doesn't have to be beautiful. You can use old boards. On boards assembled together, mark the spacing between the frames.

W zaznaczonych miejscach przybijamy poprzeczne listwy. Sprawdzamy wypoziomowanie łoża. Środkiem naciągamy drut. Pomoże wyznaczyć płaszczyznę symetrii.

Nail the crossbars in the marked places. We check the leveling of the bed. Center the wire. It will help to determine the plane of symmetry.

Vertical slats prepared for setting frames

Wszystkie wręgi ustawione.Piony na wręgach w płaszczyźnie symetrii dokładnie trafiają na naprężony w osi łoża stalowy drut. Wręgi ustawione tak by zaznaczona na nich KLW wypadała na tym samym poziomie na wszystkich wręgach.

All frames arranged. The verticals on the frames in the plane of symmetry exactly hit the steel wire stretched in the axis of the bed. The frames arranged so that the KLW marked on them falls on the same level on all frames.

Listwy wzdłużników trzeba giąć i skręcać.  Kilka takich kluczy wyciętych ze sklejki 12mm bardzo to ułatwi. Do otworu na końcu można przywiązać ciężarek.

Stringers  must be bent and twisted. A few such keys cut from 12mm plywood will facilitate this very much. You can attach a weight to the hole at the end.

Jaszcze nie ma dziobnicy. Wstępnie dogięte wzdłużniki przyzwyczajają się do nowego kształtu. Jeżeli byłyby doginane zbyt szybko to mogłyby pękać.

There is no stem yet. Pre-bent stringers are getting used to the new shape. If they were bent too quickly they could break.

Pasowanie wzdłużników na ustawionych wręgach. Nie jest dobrze robić wpusty wcześniej. Każda listwa układa się trochę inaczej. Najlepiej wcięcia zaznaczyć od dogiętego wzdłużnika.

Fitting of stringers on frames. It is not good to make indentations for stringers beforehand. Wooden stringers are always arranged a little differently. It is best to put the stringers to the set frames, mark and cut.

We make indentations in the transom with a saw and a chisel.

Wstępnie zamocowane wzdłużniki układają się płynnie. To potwierdzenie dobrego ustawienia wręgów.

Pre-attached stringers are seamless. This confirms the correct positioning of the frames.

Wzdłużniki jeszcze nie są wklejone. Podczas pasowania są tylko przykręcane wkrętami.

Ten kadłub będzie miał drugą wersję wnętrza. Wręg D jest otwarty a gródź jest na wręgu D prim.

Stringers are not yet glued. When fitting, they are only screwed.

This hull will have a second version of the interior. The D frame is open and the bulkhead is on the D prim frame.

Widzimy wręgi C, D prim, D i E. Uwaga, odległość od wręgu C do dennika na wręgu D prim wynosi 600 mm. Tu na wręgu D prim nie ma jeszcze dennika. Będzie przyklejony później. Tak więc tu odległość od C do D prim = 600 mm + grubość dennika = 660 mm

We see frames C, D prim, D and E. Note, the distance from frame C to the floor on frame D is 600 mm. There is no floor here on D prim yet. Will be glued later. So here the distance from C to D prim = 600 mm + floor thickness = 660 mm

Widzimy Pawęż, wręg A (pełny), wręg B, wręg C, wręg D prim (pełny), wręg D i wręg E.
Jeżeli budujecie pierwszą wersję wnętrza ( dwie koje, kambuz, stół nawigacyjny i toaleta) to wręgu D prim nie ma. Gródź jest wówczas na wręgu D a maszt podparty jest bramką pokazaną na Ark. 2 dokumentacji.

We see transom, frame A (full), frame B, frame C, frame D prim (full), frame D and frame E.
If you are building the first version of the interior (two berths, galley, navigation table and toilet) there is no D prim frame. The bulkhead is then on frame D and the mast is supported by the gate shown on Ark. 2 documentation.

Po miesięcznej przerwie After a month's break

Budowa ponownie startuje po przerwie. Tym razem zamiast dostępnej w Polsce sklejki sosnowej zastosowana będzie sklejka okume. Taką ostatecznie wybrał armator. Sklejka okume jest lżejsza od sosnowej. Zdobycie takiej sklejki i jej przytransportowanie w objętej restrykcjami Europie nie było łatwe i zajęło wiele czasu.

Construction starts again after a break. This time, instead of pine plywood available in Poland, okume plywood will be used. This is what the shipowner finally chose. Okume plywood is lighter than pine plywood. Getting such plywood and transporting it in Europe under restrictions was not easy and took a lot of time.

Przygotowanie nowych węzłówek.

Preparation of new knees.

Węzłówki sosnowe zostały zastąpione węzłówkami okume. Przykręcone i sklejone epoksydem.

Pine knees were replaced with okume knees. Bolted and glued with epoxy.

Budowa wręgu E. Do tego wręgu zaczepiony jest babysztag. Węzłówki muszą być zwiększone a pokładnik podwójny. 

Construction of frame E. A babystay is attached to this frame. The knees must be increased and the beam double.
